Crown Cotillion

This weekend is my sorority’s formal, and I could not be more excited! Our annual Crown Cotillion is an event where each member of my sorority gets all dolled up, brings dates, eats a fancy dinner, and dances the night away. I feel like I have been waiting all year for this event because it is like prom all over again, which I was also super excited for… if you couldn’t already tell.

However, this Crown Cotillion will be a bit different than my last two. My Big Sis graduated this past spring, and it has been weird not having her around, and Cotillion will be no different. Having to adjust to not seeing her around campus was not that hard, but during recruitment and all other Zeta events, I always catch myself looking for her, only to remember that she graduated and is now living her “big girl” life. Don’t get me wrong, I’m so extremely proud of her for being able to graduate in four years, but I miss having her around. But either way, this Cotillion will still be an amazing time.

This past week I’ve been constantly trying on my dress and shoes, while counting down the days until I can have an amazing night with all 130 of my sisters. It seems like this week is going by extremely slow, as it usually does for me when I have something to look forward to. But in two days, I know that I will be having such a fun time at Crown Cotillion.
